Feedback from my dreamers

Thank you for the one that left comments on my blogs and giving me your idea on dreams.

It was a pleasure reading through each and everyone comments about my blogs. Dreaming can be fun and scary. There are time where I don't dream about nothing or a time where I do dream but I tend to forget about them as soon as I wake up. Either or, dreaming is a cool way to explore your mind and be creative.

Keep on dreaming, dreamers!

Ugly Carpet

I had a dream last night that my cousin Jon bought a duplex in the cities. He was renting out the basement apartment. I looked at it, and it was kind of dumpy, but huge! The carpet was this hideous green pattern (similar to the image on the right). It was also right across the street from the U. So I told him I would move in. He said rent would be $615. I thought that seemed reasonable.

Then my dad was there, and he wanted to convert one of the bedrooms into two bedrooms because it was very large. We were looking around the apartment, and there were some strange doors, sort of like farmhouse cellar doors, that opened to the yard outside. We knew we needed to get some locks for those doors before I could move in. Suddenly one of the cellar doors open, and the main detectives from Law & Order SVU came in. They were investigating a case, and they had a tic-tac-toe board. It was a clue. I decided to leave and let them do their job.

At this point, the house owner changed from my cousin to my coworker Melissa. We were talking excitedly about how we were going to decorate the place. I was afraid she might decide to move out on me since she is married and might want to live with her husband eventually (I know that sounds crazy....).

I woke up after I realized that I forgot to ask both Jon and Melissa if they allow cats in the rental unit.

Massive Nights

I had several dreams last night, which I can recall in vivid detail. In the first one, I was with my friend Amanda at some desolate campground, and we were eating homemade bread that we had just learned how to make. We were concerned that the bread might make us sick, but we ate it anyway. Then I lost Amanda, and couldn't find her in the trees or fields.

That dream ended, and my sister and I were driving out to some far-out area to go hiking. We had one of my high school classmates, Matt, with me. We took off "hiking" which really mean walking along a road. My sister and I ended up at my parents house. We realized we'd lost Matt. I checked my cell phone and had an angry voicemail from him. He said he'd been waiting at the car for 6 hours. Oops.

That dream ended, and the next dream was sort of a mystery storyline. We were investigating some politician who owned a huge farm type place. He was all about human rights and environmentalism. We found out he had illegal immigrants working in really bad conditions. After we exposed the politician's problems, he kidnapped one of the illegal immigrants and took off. We discovered he had placed a bomb somewhere on the property, but we didn't know how to disable it. Later we had a scooby doo moment when we realized the farm had no electricity and ran entirely on solar power. For some reason, this helped us disable the bomb (which was also solar powered). Then we caught the politician and took him in.

Finally, I was playing a carnival game where you throw ping pong balls in a bucket. I ended up winning a kitten. He was gray and white.

I may have lost two friends in the wilderness, but I also managed to save the world and win a kitten. All in all, it was a pretty productive night.

Nightmare!

The beginning of my memory started off inside a mall with someone that I was familiar with. Someone I was once close with and someone I once had a relationship with but fallen apart awhile ago. So it was strange to me how she could appear in my dream, walking side by side with me in silence. We just smiled and exchanged few glances with each other, and it filled up my heart with such butterflies and sorrow. Even if I knew this was a dream, I knew I wouldn’t wish to wake up.
Moments later, we separated because I was called for a mission. I remember jumping into a van urgently and met with my team leader and partner. She told us we were looking for something, but I couldn’t remember specifically what it was. As we went through a time portal into the future, I was the first one to step outside because of my curiosity.
Everything seemed normal, the world looked normal until I looked up into the sky. It was painted in blood. The moon and the sun were bleeding red and it grew larger and even more crimson as time started to go by. Beside them were the normal sun and the moon but it seems to started fading away as they slowly started to cover up the daylight sky. I was filled fear and my stomach dropped as I first saw a head on car collision in front of me. Me and my partner dashed back to the van, but I stopped by to pick up a few pebble as a souvenir for the girl back at home.
Soon the world started to melt around me, and everyone was dying. It was such an agonizing feeling to watch and witness what was to become of our future. As soon as I thought we were to get home safe, my team leader broke out with bad news that to get home, our chance of survival depended on a sacrifice.
That sacrifice was of our memories with past relationships.
If we chose to remember our past relationships, our chance of survival was 50/50 and we were to suffer in immense pain as we travel back to our time. If we chose to erase them, then our chance of survival was definitely higher and our pain were to lessen.
So in other words, the more we give up our memories, the less pain.
My partner chooses to forget, and he laughed as he said this. “I rather forget. What about you?,” he turned to ask me. “I..I.. want to remember” I told our team leader. “Are you sure? I mean didn’t you go through shit, wouldn’t you rather forget? It’s not worth it. We can start over.” I shook my head, “Its okay, I rather remember than feel empty for the rest of my life.” I was certain by this point. I just didn’t want to forget because I knew if I chose to, there would be this huge hole inside of me. I rather not live with that.
Then it started. My pain began. I remember screaming and begging for it to stop. I cried as I felt it tear up my body into pieces over and over but I still grasped onto my memories. I didn’t even know if I would make it out alive from this hell but I did.
As soon as we arrived back, I stumbled out of the van and went out to search for her. I wanted to tell her I chose to remember her than to forget. I wanted to give her the pebble that I brought back with me, to show that I thought of her. But I couldn’t remember if I ever did find her or not…

Dreaming?

I overslept this morning. For some reason I didn't wake up at the usual time and ended up sleeping to a very late hour, an hour I was annoyed to have slept until. Two things came of it: a groggy head (which I have now), and a vivid memory of a dream which is the basis to this post.

We had gone to Al-Dar islands with the family, and in the dream it was exactly as I remembered it (except it looked nothing like the real-life version). One thing which was disturbingly different was that the tide had eaten up more than half of one of the three football pitches. My dream-self lamented the loss of this pitch that was the scene of many childhood footy heroics, and I kept going on about global warming and how this was the first time that I had really felt the effects. I even vowed to write a post about it and put it up on my blog. Subsequent recollection of this statement while awake is the driving force behind my current furious typing. Funny thing is, the football pitches I had seen somewhere or another, and it was just a case of cut and paste over the already existing image I had of the islands. If anything, where they were positioned in my dream meant that a big chunk of the beach and sea were buried by these pitches. Another eco-disaster, considering all the ongoing land reclamation work in Bahrain, so maybe the sea was fighting for its survival in the dream, refusing to have so much land imposed on it while I slept.

The dream later evolved into starting a 4-on-4 game and having Cristiano Ronaldo step in to make up the numbers on my team. The bastard never passed the ball to me before I woke up. Thanks for nothing, buster. Oh and Jose, we wouldn't have had it any other way. Cheers for all the brilliant soundbites, and don't stay away for too long!

Welcome to my random dream!
